TOP 10 TRAVEL FASHION BLOGGERS

Do you want some inspiration?
Add more if you consider...

Tuula Vintage: Jessica Stein's description really does sum her blog up in one phrase: not all those who wander are lost. Her travels are as inspiring as they are varied (re: not vain, love this difference!) She also has sensational fashion sense and an eye for photography. Her simple site speaks for itself and her spunk is surely appreciated internationally. This blog can be enjoyed for both the outfits and her spirit of adventure.
Hanh Merriman: Hanh is one of my favorites and well deserving of the top ten list because she truly believes in travel as a door to the soul of the world (okay my waxy poetic words, but I promise she agrees) and happens to be one of the most stylish mothers you will EVER come across. Born in Vietnam, Hanh understandably has an innate talent of making colorful eclecticism look polished and classy. Enough to please Mr. Bill Cunningham himself. But forget Bill, her husband is the lucky one. She truly is the style goddess of Dallas. If only all of Texas was like that!

Fashion Toast: Rumi Neely has a gorgeous blog with outfits to match. Her focus is certainly high-end designers in TO DIE FOR locations. I wish I could insert myself into her pictures in Paris. She attends fashion events across Europe and her photographs are an excellent mixture of couture outfits, beautiful cultural photos, and personal tidbits. Definitely worth a look.
Gary Pepper: Nicole Warne, of all the glorious bloggers on this list, clocks in as the one person I would most want to be best friends with, travel with, and borrow the everyday life of. From her humble beginnings selling vintage dresses a la Harajuku style on eBay, to her magically awe-inspiring journeys to and from every point of the Earth, if you don't know this stunning woman yet, please tell me where you've been hiding or what pills you've been downing because I might need some for my next flight! Oh and yes Nicole, when you read this, that was a completely shameless invitation to become my bff. Applications are ongoing. Call my people.

Scent of Obsession: Italian writer, Nicoletta Reggio, knows how to compile her travel documentation with her hobby for all things fashion-related. Her outfits are classic with pops of color and fresh accessories. She also has excellent posts on savvy shopping and tasty food. The most unique aspect of her blog is the “shopping guides” she has put together for the various cities (London, NYC, Paris, etc.) that she has visited.

Saucy Glossie: This is not an armature blog! Lindsey started her career at Seventeen Magazine and quickly made it into the fashion department at Cosmopolitan Magazine. Eventually, Lindsey left the world of print and started a blog that showcases her outfits, travels, and interviews, pretty much like what I did. Her blog is as polished as her stunning personal style. Somehow she is able to combine classic looks with current trends effortlessly.

Street Etiquette: Joshua Kissi and Travis Gumbs are the faces and voices behind Street Etiquette. So why include a pair of dapper dudes on this list? Well just one peek at their captivating online presence and you'll see that menswear crosses all borders when it comes to this duo. Whether you're a Snapchat addicted design student or a midwestern chap off in the suburbs, you'll fawn over their showcase of personal style that blends a cultural, historical and urban perspective. With sartorial influences stretching from all parts of the world and eras, Street Etiquette has managed to assemble a truly unique view of fashionable men's style.

The Stylish Wanderer: Minnie is a film school freshman who puts her hard-earned education online for others to enjoy. Oh yeah, and her slick hipster style that has landed her everywhere from Teen Vogue to national TV commercials, and um, she's barely old enough to drink. Don't be jealous...okay go ahead! Unlike other bloggers who had worldwide fan clubs by the age of sixteen that I never quite fell hard for (ahem, Jane) this girl keeps it real and Cali style and I like that. How real? So real that you won't find her name hovering the Internet abyss anywhere because her momma likes it like that. Parenting 101 folks. #justsayin

WishWishWish: Listen, I may be a strong black woman (as continuously described by my lovely Italian-American significant other) but that is not to say I don't enjoy an extreme dose of whimsy in my life every now and again. Carrie Harwood is no stranger to the fashion blog scene or frolicking across Europe. Her blog made it big many moons ago and landed herself a nice little feature in The Times. She has collaborated with many famous fashion brands, but I love that she's still just the young girl next door who makes readers feel comfortable and at home under a big fuzzy blanket knitted by Grandma. Whose grandma? Anyone's! But they must be called Nana.

Glamourai:Kelly and Erin have put together a delightful compilation of fashion and travel in their blog Glamourai. They really have mastered the feel of magazine content synthesized into an online read. Their travels are extensive and their outfits are appealing to women of all ages. I even enjoyed their beauty posts which were informative and littered with beautiful photos.

Top 10 Dangerous Cities In The World

Making a top of the most dangerous cities in the world is not an easy task, the lists change year after year. Some time ago, Chicago was, and still is considered the world’s crime capital. But let’s face it, just because Chicago has an interesting crime history and something that looks like a proneness to violence, there are other cities in this world that are basically imbued in constant acts of crime. There are cities out there which can scare even the most spectacular team of super heroes and if you think the Expendables can take a quiet walk in the park in some of these towns, think again! Today we will see (from the distance, as nobody dares to travel in those virtually war zones) the top ten most dangerous cities in the world.
            1. San Pedro Sula – Honduras
It takes first place as the crime rate was established at 169 deaths at 100.000 inhabitants. Despite the touristic attractions, Honduras is a dangerous country and San Pedro Sula is not something we’d visit without the Terminator (Arnie’s version to be exact) to tag along.
            dangerous cities
            2. Ciudad Huarez – Mexico
It is not a myth in Hollywood movies that Mexico is that type of country you should visit only if you have a weapons’ permit and some shooting skills. Full of cultural attractions, with a history and surrounding legends that appeal to everybody, Mexico loses a lot of attention and potential touristic development due to the violence it is characterized by. Ciudad Huarez isn’t the first time when makes the top ten list of the most dangerous cities in the world, as drug traffic and gang wars are current news.

            dangerous cities
            3. Maceio, Brazil
Many years, Rio de Janeiro bared the stigmata of danger, crime and unthinkable violence, together with Buenos Aires even. Did you happen to see the famous and most disturbing movie Citade de Deus? Did you hear about the Brazilian favelas? Well, Maceio seems to be the peak of them all, as it hit the list with proven facts that people actually contract paid killers to solve some of their business.
            dangerous cities
            4. Acapulco, Mexico
Don’t get us wrong, the beaches in Acapulco still make the top touristic destinations in the world. The paradox is that despite the beauty, the fame and the world-renown publicity Acapulco benefits of, it is still one of the most dangerous cities in the world, statistics showing an incredible crime rate of 128 victims in 100.000 inhabitants.
            dangerous cities
            5. Sharm el Sheikh
You can find there not only ones of the most spectacular landscapes in the world, tourist luxury services that redefine the concept of luxury, vacation offers that attract millions of people, but also, and unfortunately this is the truth, armed attacks, broad daylight street robberies, assault and rape. It is indeed a shame, as this corner of Heaven is still considered one of the best outcomes of nature and man teamwork.
Sharm el Sheikh, în ciuda peisajelor magnifice cu care te-ar atrage, are pericole nenumărate. S-ar putea să fii jefuit pe stradă. Ba chiar să dai de câteva jafuri armate... Foto: Mediafax
            6. Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Malaysia also takes pride in its spectacular landscapes, a culture that begs to be discovered and explored and… a history of violence that made way too many victims. Presently, the state’s capital is said to be one of the most dangerous cities in the world, as the crime rate increased with 70% in the last three years. It wasn’t a peace on Earth display before either, but now things seem to keep getting worse.
            dangerous cities
            7. Johannesburg, South Africa
This South African city almost competes with New York in infrastructure, economy expansion, touristic attractions and way of life. Still, Trip Advisor listed this beautiful city among the most dangerous in the world as people still can witness street shootings and physical assaults in broad day light.
            dangerous cities
            8. Caracas, Venezuela
Back in South America, among the world’s records nominees in crime and violence. Caracas is the playground of numerous drug cartels and gangs and street fights, wars and assaults are a constant preoccupation for the inhabitants and authorities, who explicitly warn people not to hang for long in some specific neighborhoods.
            dangerous cities
            9. Marrakech, Morocco
Morocco is a beautiful country and a lot of people go there to get a taste of the Orient, learn about ancient traditions, see the desert with their own eyes and feel the magic atmosphere. Marrakech is, however, a very dangerous city and even on the governmental official web site the authorities warn future tourists to consider carefully their visit, as they might find themselves in threatening situations.
            dangerous cities
            10. New Orleans, U.S.A
It is a pity to find this incredible beautiful city among the top 40 most dangerous cities of 2012, but unfortunately, the facts and numbers show New Orleans as being one violent city and the only one in the U.S. that made it to the list.

            2015's Time 100

This year's Time 100 list is...an interesting one, to say the least. But it's definitely worth checking out. I clicked through the list and, as usual, I recognized some and didn't recognize others. The two I was most delighted to see make the list were Lorne Michaels and Chris Pratt; I believe they're deserving. Brandon Stanton was another excellent decision to the crew. Not too sure about Kanye, but you can make your own decisions by seeing all one hundred here.
