HOW You Can Use Google Calendar to Coordinate Meetings?

A MAJOR CHALLENGE with any #worksquad is making sure you’re all available for meetings at the same time—especially if you’re working in various time zones. Google Calendar makes it a little easier. This tip requires everyone on your team to apply the same settings to their calendars, but it’ll ensure your meetings don’t fall prey to schedule dysfunction.

This tip does involve each person on your team making their calendar public—at least to other members of the team. This may feel like an invasion of privacy, but there’s a way to do it without broadcasting your every move.

How to Create a Shared Calendar in Google Calendar

Go to calendar.google.com and find the “My calendars” menu in the left column.

Click the box with the downward-pointing arrow next to “My calendars.” Select “Create new calendar” from the drop-down menu.

After you fill in a name and description for your calendar, you have several sharing options. You can make the calendar public and accessible via Google searches by checking the “Make this calendar public” box. If you do, it’s probably a good idea to also check the box next to “Share only my free/busy information” to keep your schedule details private.

Better yet, you can share the calendar only with certain people. Enter each email addresses in the “Share with specific people” field, and click the “Add person” button to add more invitees. You can also adjust the privacy settings for invitees with the “Permission settings” drop-down menu for each email address you invite.

That will create a shared calendar that your entire team can view and add to, but individual team members will likely have their own calendars. They’ll need to take a few extra steps for the best collaboration features.

How to Share Your Google Calendar With Others

To make your own calendar visible to the rest of the team, find the “My calendars” menu.
Click the box with the downward-pointing arrow next to your personal calendar. Select “Calendar settings” from the drop-down menu.

How to Start an at Home YouTube Tutorials?

If you have specialized knowledge and the ability to share your expertise in a clear and concise way, then consider starting an at-home tutoring business. Traditionally, tutors help school age children master concepts from their daily curriculum. While the demand for this service continues, additional areas of focus include college entrance exam preparation, assistance with college courses and even preparation to start kindergarten. The low startup costs make this business an attractive way to earn part-time income.

However, so many parents want to give their kids a competitive edge that there is enough work for a viable full-time business.

Step 1
Identify your areas of expertise. Formal certification is not required to set up shop. However, clients will look for demonstrated experience or training. Teacher certification and specialized courses will provide credibility and make marketing a tutoring business easier.
Step 2
Choose a legal structure and name the business. A sole proprietorship or partnership if a second owner is involved is usually sufficient. If a name other than the owner's name will be used, then register a fictitious name with the state secretary.
Step 3
Obtain licenses and permits. Almost any business requires registration with local authorities, even if the business is operated from home. Check with the city and county governments where the business is located for requirements.
Step 4
Establish policies, procedures and pricing. Some decisions include how to handle no-shows, make up lessons and "emergency" questions. A written agreement with the parent regarding services will help alleviate misunderstandings. Check with other tutors to see if your pricing is competitive.
Step 5
Obtain learning tools as needed for clients. The library and internet are good sources for free materials. Invest in a good set of reference books for the main subject areas.
Step 6
Set up an office with a phone and computer access. Administrative tasks, such as marketing and billing, are easily conducted from home. Meetings with clients can be conducted at the student's home or in your own home. A quiet place free from interruptions is needed. Check deed restrictions and with local authorities to ensure that ongoing meetings in your own home are allowed. Note that libraries often prohibit the use of their facilities by paid tutors.
Step 7
Advertise the tutoring business in mediums and places your target market frequents. Place fliers on school bulletin boards, provide brochures to teachers and students and participate in parenting networks. Create a resume with references to provide to potential clients. Maintain an email list and consider sending a periodic newsletter with study tips and information related to areas of focus.
Step 8
Provide home-based tutoring services through on-line companies, such as Tutor.com. This avenue will supplement the income made through face-to-face clients and allow tutoring skills to be honed in the area of expertise. A computer with high-speed Internet access is needed. Generally, the tutor is considered an independent contractor.

How to Reboot an Apple iMac to Its Factory Settings

Shutting down or restarting your Apple iMac flushes the contents of its memory, including items you copied to the clipboard and the remnants of operating system and software procedures. A special form of memory called nonvolatile RAM, or NVRAM, stores your Intel iMac's startup settings.

To reboot your system to some of its factory defaults, perform an NVRAM reset. If you need to restore your iMac to its original configuration, removing sensitive personal and business data so you can prepare the system for resale or reassignment, reboot your iMac and use the Recovery system built in to the Mac OS to return the computer to its factory settings.

NVRAM Reset

Step 1
Open the Apple menu and choose "Restart." A dialog box with a one-minute countdown timer appears, asking if you want to cancel or restart. If you allow the timer to count down to zero, your iMac restarts automatically.
Step 2
Press and hold the "Command" and "Option" keys, along with the letters "P" and "R" before your monitor displays a gray screen.
Step 3
Continue holding down the four-key combination until your system chimes, restarts again and chimes for a second time. Release the keys and allow your iMac to finish restarting.

OS X Recovery

Step 1
Confirm that your computer has access to an active broadband connection. The OS X Recovery feature erases your hard drive and reinstalls a fresh copy of OS X, returning your computer to its factory settings. The process requires a high-speed Internet connection.
Step 2
Open the Apple menu and choose "Restart." A dialog box with a one-minute countdown timer appears, asking if you want to cancel or restart. If you allow the timer to count down to zero, your iMac reboots automatically.
Step 3
Press and hold the "Command" and "R" keys. You must depress both by the time your monitor displays a gray screen. Release them when the Apple logo appears.
Step 4
Click on the "Disk Utility" option in the Mac OS X Utilities window that appears after your iMac reboots. Click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the window.
Step 5
Click on the "Continue" button on the dialog box that appears. It notifies you that the installer will send your iMac's configuration information to Apple to confirm that your computer can run the OS you're about to install.
Step 6
Launch "Disk Utility" from the set of options that appears after system confirmation. Select your startup disk from the list of available drives and partitions on the left side of the Disk Utility interface. Switch to the Erase tab.
Step 7
Set the format to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Rename your startup disk, using the default "Macintosh HD" label that appears on new systems. Click on the "Erase" button to begin the process. When you're prompted for it, enter your Apple ID and password. The installer downloads the data it needs and performs the reinstallation.

Top 10 Best Super Bowl Commercials Of 2016

The Super Bowl has come to a close and once again, we laughed, we cheered, we oohed and ahead. But while the action on the field was a bit on the boring side, the dozens of commercials between plays kept us utterly engaged.
We saw them all – no pee breaks here – so you can enjoy the best of the best. Here’s a look at the best ads of the 2016 Super Bowl season…

The 11 Best Super Bowl 50 Ads:

1. Wix.com

The Wix 2016 Super Bowl commercial has it all. Funny, smart, compelling and memorable, we can’t get enough of the cast of Kung Fu Panda 3. What really impressed us was how Wix used a brief, 30-second cartoon to spin an elaborate story line, parody previous Super Bowl commercials and still clearly explain the benefits of their product. This makes two years in a row that the website builder created a stellar Super Bowl campaign. Touchdown, Wix!

2. NFL – Super Bowl Babies Choir

While the NFL isn’t a traditional Super Bowl advertiser like Budweiser or Mountain Dew, their promotional video in honour of Super Bowl 50 is simply so fabulous that we watched it 10 times – at least. We couldn’t help but sing along with Seal and these Super Bowl babies while wondering if we, too, will have a surprise waiting for us in just 9 short months… Will birthrates soar in Denver come November?

3. Doritos “Ultrasound”

Long before Doritos announced the winners (there were two) of this year’s  “Crash the Super Bowl” Contest, we unofficially declared the “Ultrasound” ad, created by Peter Carstairs, to be our favorite. In fact, in our humble opinion, this ad is high on the list for one of the best Super Bowl ads ever.

4. Audi “Commander”

Audi managed to create an unforgettable ad that is at once touching and exhilarating. The commercial tells a simple story that we can all relate to of a former astronaut who has lost his passion for life. That is, until he takes his son for a spin in the new R8. The Bowie soundtrack in the background pushes it over the top. It’s almost more than we can handle!

5. Mountain Dew Kickstart “#PuppyMonkeyBaby”

Want to create a good Super Bowl commercial? Try including puppies, monkeys or babies. Want to create a Super Bowl commercial that everyone will be talking about for weeks? Include all three! The Mountain Dew Super Bowl commercial, called #PuppyMonkeyBaby, proves that three is better than one. You know, like dew, juice and caffeine, or puppies, monkeys and babies. This commercial is certainly a bit out there, but it’s a lot of fun. Watch it more than once – it keeps getting better!

6. Amazon.com

Celebrities? Check. Humor? Check. Relevancy to introducing a cool, new product? Check. Football connection? Check.
The Verdict: Amazon.com made one kick-ass debut in their first Super Bowl ad ever. Amazon’s 2016 Super Bowl commercial promoted Alexa aka “The Echo,” the online retail giant’s voice-activated speaker. In a nutshell, it’s pretty much the sweetest party trick we’ve ever seen. Now if only we knew how to get an invite to Alec Baldwin’s Super Bowl bash!

7. Mini

One little car sent a powerful, Super Bowl-sized message in their Game Day ad. The Mini Super Bowl commercialshowed a strong self awareness by the company about the stereotypes associated with their cars. But the ad did far more than that; its powerful ensemble cast encourages all of us to “Defy Labels” and define ourselves. Whether you drive a Mini, an 18-wheeler or a scooter, it’s a message that we should all take to heart!

8. Honda

Honda approaches Super Bowl glory in their fun ad for the 2017 Ridgeline truck. With Queen’s “Somebody to Love” as the score, the fun commercial has everyone singing along – even the farm animals!

9. Hyundai “First Date”

Have an overprotective father? Then you’ll definitely be able to relate to this commercial. It made us laugh, it made us cringe and at the end of the day we thought to ourselves, that “Car Finder” feature looks pretty cool. Do you think Hyundai could make a “date finder” too? Not for dad’s, but for the single ones among us?

10. Skittles “The Portrait”

In what is Skittles second Super Bowl ad, Steven Tyler does a great job competing with his own self-portrait in a sing-off to “Dream On.” Who woulda thought that you could do much with those rainbow-coloured candies? Creative, fun and delicious! We love it!
