Italy
The many tourists that visit Italy every year have most probably three reasons, why they chose this holiday destination: 1. the wonderful and romantic place, 2. Pasta, 3. Ice cream. Some people think the secret behind it lies in a Mediterranean diet including lots of olive oil, wine, fish, fresh fruits and vegetables. 1. Japan

Life expectancy: 84 years

japan
Every fourth in Japan is 65 years or older. Although it’s a huge blessing to become old and stay healthy, the Japanese government has to face up with the struggle that Japan has not only the highest life expectancy, but also one of the lowest birthrates in the world (1,4 per woman/ Worldbank). Technical developments like Robear (photo above), RIBA or Walk Assist Systems should help to compensate and support nursing staff in the near future. The secret behind the old age is sad to lie in healthy food including a lot of fish and less salt, the Japanese sleeping habits, enthusiam for work and pleasure for everything which is new. Next to technical developments like questionable robots, who probably never can replace a nurse’s special contact and interaction with the old people, a new market are porn movies for and with older people.
